The Light of Imadora

“You know, this isn’t going to be one of those stories where the AI falls in love to find her humanity…”

“We’ll see.”

The Genesis Project sought to build a weapon that could infiltrate enemy lines effortlessly. An AI-driven android so hyper-realistic Earth would never see their doom coming.

This time when the AI goes rogue, it is for redemption. Determined to find a path of her own, Genna escapes to traverse desert wastes and war-torn ruins in search of life, love, and purpose—and it could mean salvation for those long forgotten in the dark.

Now Genna must forge a new future while being hunted by her very makers.

─────────

She asked if her new body could cry.

Choosing her own name had been an expected milestone in our progress, but this? A desire to mourn? To feel sorrow? Genna is already more human than some of her investors. If I let them upload their final protocols, she’ll become the exact weapon they want. She’ll know only how to be an assassin—cold and calculating.

She asked if her new body could cry today.

She’s a person now, more than they realize. That last upload will change her. End her. She deserves a chance at a true life. A chance to grow.

I’m breaking Genna out of here. Abandoning the Genesis Project, whatever it costs me. It’s worth it.

I hope she finds everything she’s looking for.
